High school dropout earns PhD


ECONOMISTS EXPECT A SLIGHTLY LOWER NUMBER OF JOBS ADDED AND A STEADY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE. NORTH COLLEGE HILL HIGH SCHOOL HAS A SPECIAL CEREMONY FOR A LOCAL WOMAN THAT WAS ONCE A HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT. TODAY, SHE WENT FROM DROPOUT TO DOCTOR.>>THE HIGHEST ACADEMIC DEGREE POSSIBLE. THE SOON-TO-BE MOST RECENT ALUMNUS DESERVES THIS SPECIAL RECOGNITION.>>SHE WAS A HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT. AFTER SERVING IN THE ARMY, SHE WORKED HER WAY UP TO BEING A TEACHER. THAT IS WHEN MARY SAID THAT SHE NEEDED TO RETURN TO THE CLASSROOM OR SELF.>>I FIGURED OUT I NEEDED MORE EDUCATION TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF BEING A TEACHER.>>SHE KEPT WORKING AND RECEIVED HER PHD LATE LAST YEAR. BUT INSTEAD OF A COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY, SHE WANTED TO CELEBRATE WITH HER STUDENTS. SEVERAL OFFICIALS JOINED IN ON THE CELEBRATION.>>PHD IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP.
